the US federal government has entered the fourth day of a "shutdown" due to running out of funds. On that day, Republican members of the US House of Representatives announced that they had canceled their plans to return to Washington, D.C. next week. This means that the House vote may be postponed and the federal government shutdown may last longer. Affected by the government shutdown, the US State Department website announced that some domestic consular services support work will be suspended, and the updating of content on the State Department website will also be restricted. In addition, social media accounts of US embassies in many countries have also been reduced or suspended until funding is restored.
