What is OpenBlox (OBX)?
OpenBlox is an EVM-based metaverse gaming ecosystem. As it is EVM-based, the ecosystem can exist on any chains that are EVM compatible. For now, it is on Ethereum and Arbitrum.
Its goal is to create a comprehensive gaming ecosystem that has various games and Web3 dapps. Each user has their own character called Blox that is used in all games in the ecosystem. These Bloxes exist as NFT, so they can be freely transferred and traded. The first game / dapp released on the platform is RunBlox. The lineup of upcoming games are RogueBlox, LandBlox, and ActionBlox.
Bloxverse is the OpenBlox ecosystem that includes all games and Web3 dapps of the platform, plus their partners.
How OpenBlox (OBX) Works
The OpenBlox ecosystem now has 4 games / dapps up its sleeve:
- RunBlox, a Move-to-Earn dapp that allows users to have fun and receive digital assets while exercising. Its own in-game token is $RUX.
- RogueBlox, a roguelike NFT game where users take on myriads of adventures and exciting events. Rewards in the game are given in $RGL.
- LandBlox, a simulation game where players explore, grow, and expand their farms.
- ActionBlox, a MMORPG where players build teams and battle each other.
How Many OpenBlox (OBX) Tokens Are in Circulation?
OBX is the token of the OpenBlox platform. Apart from the obvious use cases of governance, breeding fee, and staking, OBX can be used in all games and dapps on OpenBlox. OBX token has a maximum supply of 10,000,000,000, and it was launched in June 2022.
