U.S. December Inflation Data Forecast: Overall Inflation Rate May Rise to 3.2%
The United States will announce inflation data for December on Thursday. Economists from Deutsche Bank analyze that the overall and core inflation are expected to increase by about 0.25% month-on-month, and the overall inflation rate in December may slightly rise to 3.2%. The annual core inflation rate may slightly decrease but still remain high at 3.8%. Inflation data might slow down the falling trend of the dollar, but there are concerns that the dollar will soon return to a downward trend due to weak data.
