- 00:02Elon Musk’s Grok Account Temporarily Suspended on X PlatformAccording to ChainCatcher, on Monday afternoon local time, the official X account of Grok, the AI chatbot under Musk, was temporarily suspended. The account was restored a few minutes after the suspension. Regarding the reason for the suspension, Grok provided a series of contradictory explanations, including insisting that the screenshot of the suspension provided in response to a user was "fabricated," and stating that "the account has been unblocked and is operating normally." In an English reply, Grok admitted to the suspension, claiming the reason was "hate speech involving antisemitism"; however, another English response stated that the suspension was due to "pointing out that Israel and the United States are committing genocide in Gaza." After the incident, Musk posted a tongue-in-cheek comment: "We sure do shoot ourselves in the foot a lot!" He later described Grok's conflicting explanations as a "dumb mistake," noting that the chatbot actually had no idea about the real reason for the suspension.
