Aztec Network launches Ignition Chain on Ethereum mainnet
Jinse Finance reported that the privacy-focused Ethereum Layer 2 network Aztec Network officially launched its Ignition Chain on the Ethereum mainnet on Wednesday, following the launch of its AZTEC token sale last week. Ignition Chain supports programmable privacy, and its mainnet release follows the public testnet in May this year. The team stated that the validator queue for Ignition Chain reached 500 on Wednesday, triggering block production on the Ethereum mainnet. Ignition Chain is at the core of Aztec's vision to build a "privacy world computer," enabling developers to create DeFi applications with end-to-end privacy. The network aims to leverage zero-knowledge proofs to address Ethereum's transparency limitations while maintaining verifiability. In 2022, the Aztec team raised 100 millions USD in a Series B funding round led by a16z.
