On Tuesday, Google revealed that it is introducing enhanced agentic features to AI Mode, a tool that enables users to pose intricate questions and follow up for deeper insights directly within Search.
With this update, users are now able to receive assistance with reserving event tickets as well as scheduling beauty and wellness services through AI Mode.
For instance, you might say, “Find me two affordable tickets for the upcoming Shaboozey concert. I’d like standing floor tickets.” AI Mode will then scan several websites to locate up-to-date ticket choices that fit your criteria, presenting you with a tailored list of prices to consider. You’ll be linked directly to the booking page to complete your purchase.
These new agentic tools are now accessible to all participants in Google’s experimental Search Labs program in the U.S. Google also mentions that subscribers to Google AI Pro and Ultra benefit from higher usage limits.
Google initially introduced agentic features to AI Mode last August, allowing users to search for restaurant reservations using the tool.

With this function, you can ask for dinner bookings based on various preferences, such as the number of guests, date, time, area, and type of cuisine. For example, you could request, “Book a dinner for three this Friday after 6 p.m. near Logan Square. I’m in the mood for ramen or bibimbap.”
AI Mode will then check different reservation services to find restaurants with real-time openings that fit your request, and will show you a curated selection of available options.
“Our main goal with Google Search is to connect you to trustworthy, high-quality information,” Google stated on its Search Labs site. “This new feature is built on our core safety and quality systems, but it’s still experimental and may occasionally make errors.”
AI Mode was first introduced by Google in March as a competitor to services like Perplexity AI and OpenAI’s ChatGPT Search. Since then, the company has expanded AI Mode to over 180 countries and has continued to add new features. Recently, AI Mode gained a Canvas tool for creating study plans and organizing information across multiple sessions in a sidebar. It also now supports using Google Lens to inquire about content displayed on your desktop.
