FTSE Russell partners with Chainlink to bring stock index data on-chain, advancing institutional-grade market data blockchainization
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, global index provider FTSE Russell has announced a partnership with Chainlink to publish its benchmark equity and digital asset indices on the blockchain.
Through Chainlink's DataLink service, index data for globally tracked assets such as the Russell 1000, Russell 2000, Russell 3000, and FTSE 100—representing over $18 trillion in assets—will be available on multiple blockchains. FTSE Russell CEO Fiona Bassett stated that this move is an important step in the company's strategy to promote "tokenized assets" and ETF innovation. Previously, FTSE Russell had launched several cryptocurrency market indices through partnerships with SonarX and Grayscale, providing standardized benchmarks for institutional investors.
