Sources: AI video generation company Synthesia raises $200 million at a $4 billion valuation, according to insiders
Foresight News reported, citing Forbes and informed sources, that London-based AI video generation startup Synthesia has completed a $200 million funding round at a $4 billion valuation, led by Google parent company Alphabet’s venture arm GV.
The Information reported earlier this month that software giant Adobe had discussed acquiring Synthesia for $3 billion, but the deal ultimately fell through due to disagreements over price.
Synthesia uses AI models to help large enterprises turn tedious training manuals into videos featuring AI-generated avatars. Its clients include chemical giant DuPont, printer manufacturer Xerox, and airline Spirit. The company completed a $180 million funding round at a $2.1 billion valuation in January this year.
