Maybank collaborates with Marketnode and BNP Paribas to launch tokenized money market fund
Jinse Finance reported that Maybank Asset Management Singapore, in collaboration with Marketnode and BNP Paribas Securities Services, has launched a tokenized version of the Maybank Money Market Fund (MMF). Marketnode is responsible for tokenization and distribution, while BNP Paribas acts as the transfer agent. After tokenization, the fund offers greater accessibility, utility, and transferability. The three parties are also exploring the potential of using the fund and other tokenized assets as collateral. Marketnode utilizes its Gateway platform to support tokenization across multiple permissionless blockchains. According to the prospectus, the fund’s T-class share tokens will be issued on Polygon, Solana, Stellar, and XRP Ledger. Ivan Won, Head of Product and Markets at Maybank Asset Management Singapore, stated that this collaboration demonstrates the company’s commitment to innovation as Singapore’s financial industry rapidly moves toward a tokenized future.
