On October 14 at 9 p.m., Monad officially opened the airdrop query and claim. Claim website: .
Airdrop Allocation
This airdrop will distribute tokens to 5,500 Monad community members and nearly 225,000 cryptocurrency community members.
The MON tokens have been distributed to recipients through five main paths, each of which has several subpaths, as described in detail below. Individuals eligible through multiple subpaths are entitled to claim the total of the allocated token amounts across all their subpaths. The portal uses Privy for identity verification. You can sign a message with an EVM or Solana wallet to prove ownership of your wallet. All identity verification operations are carried out through Privy.
Claim deadline is November 3, 2025.
Anti-Sybil
When determining criteria that can identify deep blockchain users, Monad considered behaviors that Sybil attackers could easily replicate, focusing instead on criteria that are difficult to fake. Behaviors like repeatedly conducting low-value transactions that are easily batch-operated by bots cannot serve as independently effective filtering criteria because the share allocated to real users will be minuscule compared to the share allocated to bots.
Ultimately, Monad selected a set of criteria that can identify highly active users on-chain and off-chain. On-chain, Monad emphasizes users' usage of mainstream decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, especially those with long-term capital commitment behaviors, high-frequency DEX traders, and holders of certain renowned NFT collections. Off-chain, Monad highlights indicators related to verified social identities, participation in social and educational Web3 communities, and contributions to public goods and security research. Monad invested heavily in manual labeling and developed two applications—the Monad Community Recognizer and Monad Cards—to incorporate feedback from Monad and cryptocurrency community members into the filtering process.
During the on-chain data analysis phase, the Monad Foundation entrusted a third-party organization, Trusta AI, to assist in identifying and removing witch attack addresses. The third party's professional experience in anti-witch attack allocation played a crucial role, and Monad sincerely appreciates the assistance provided by the Trusta team.
Which On-Chain Users Are Eligible
This airdrop is aimed at users who have historically generated significant value on-chain in EVM and Solana addresses, specifically covering multiple forms of value in the following priority categories:
High-frequency DEX traders: including users trading on
· Hyperliquid and Phantom wallets (spot and perpetual contracts), as well as users trading tokens issued on platforms like Pump.fun, Virtuals, and other meme coins.
· Major DeFi protocol large depositors: encompassing users who have deposited substantial funds into mainstream decentralized finance protocols such as Aave, Euler, Morpho, Pendle, Lighter, Curve, PancakeSwap, and Uniswap.
· Various NFT long-term holders: including users holding well-known non-fungible tokens such as Azuki, Chimpers, CryptoPunks, Doodles, Fluffle, Hypurr, Mad Lads, Meebits, Milady Maker, Moonbirds, Pudgy Penguins, Redacted Remilio Babies, Sappy Seals, Solana Monkey Business, and Wassies.
· Users recently actively engaged in mainstream DeFi protocol DAO governance on Ethereum: referring to users who have recently actively participated in mainstream decentralized finance protocol decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) governance decisions in the Ethereum ecosystem.
The blockchain user selection is based on snapshot data as of 23:59 on September 30, 2025 (UTC time). Some selection criteria are based on retrospective calculations of data from previous months.
Monad Cards Users Are Also Eligible
The MON airdrop is also aimed at a broader cryptocurrency community, which has been identified through social graph analysis and initiatives such as "Monad Cards." The core principle is to filter out genuine cryptocurrency users. Although it is not possible to identify every such user, remove all "freeloaders"/robots, and avoid double counting, this airdrop is still dedicated to identifying those who are passionate about cryptocurrency and making them stakeholders in the Monad network.
One particularly important component is the "Monad Cards" initiative. "Monad Cards" is an initiative on Twitter to recognize numerous active, thoughtful, and deeply engaged individuals in the cryptocurrency space. The selected individuals are then encouraged to nominate other unrecognized but equally deserving individuals. Whether they are part of the first wave of card recipients, the second wave of card recipients, or those who forgot to claim their cards, all are included in this airdrop.
In addition, Monad also includes participants from the Legion fundraising platform, Backpack users, Fantasy Top hero players, MetaDAO token holders, ARC community members, active participants in the LobsterDAO Telegram group, and notable Farcaster users, among others.
Including Security Experts, Researchers, and More
This airdrop encompasses individuals who have contributed to the development of the cryptocurrency space through security research, protocol development, and educational outreach, among other means. Monad specifically includes well-known cryptocurrency sleuth ZachXBT, members of the SEAL 911 organization, Cantina-selected auditors who have made significant audit findings, and Protocol Guild members who have identified vulnerabilities through reviewing Splits contracts, and more.
Furthermore, the airdrop recipients also include students and instructors from educational projects such as RareSkills and SheFi.
