According to Odaily, Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad," posted on X stating that the traditional "60/40" investment portfolio (60% stocks, 40% bonds) became obsolete as early as 1971 when the US dollar was decoupled from the gold standard. He criticized that the US government is "the largest debtor in history," the US dollar is "an IOU from a bankrupt government," and questioned why anyone would still buy its bonds.
He pointed out that Morgan Stanley's current "60/20/20" portfolio (60% stocks, 20% bonds, 20% gold) is more likely to achieve long-term financial security, emphasizing that gold has outperformed stocks and bonds over the long term.
Kiyosaki stated that he still prefers "real assets" such as gold, silver, bitcoin, ethereum, rental income from real estate, and oil assets, and mentioned that he achieved financial freedom more than 30 years ago.
