Hyperdrive: All currency markets have been suspended after two thBILL market accounts were attacked; an investigation will be launched.
ChainCatcher news, according to official information, Hyperliquid ecosystem DeFi protocol Hyperdrive stated that two accounts' positions in the thBILL market have been attacked. As a precaution, Hyperdrive has suspended all money markets and will conduct further investigation. This issue will not affect the HYPED token.
ChainCatcher previously reported, according to crypto KOL @CryptoNyaRu, Hyperliquid ecosystem DeFi protocol Hyperdrive suffered an attack because, during the lending process, users set the Router as the Operator. However, the Router can execute Calls on any contract on the whitelist, and the Market contract is on the whitelist, resulting in third-party addresses being able to arbitrarily operate users' positions through the Router. The relevant contract addresses are Router (0x8D9e...) and Market (0xa522...). Exploitative transactions have already occurred, involving the security of user assets.
According to monitoring by Twitter user @xhanTululu, Hyperliquid ecosystem DeFi protocol Hyperdrive is suspected to have been attacked, with losses of about $700,000. Currently, the project team has not yet responded.
