Foresight News reported that, according to NHK, before the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan decides on August 8 whether to hold a temporary presidential election, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has decided to resign, citing his unwillingness to cause division within the party. Shigeru Ishiba will hold a press conference at 5:00 PM (GMT+8), where he is expected to announce his intention to resign.
