XRP Ledger Developers Refute Claims of Ranking Lowest in Blockchain Security
According to a report by Jinse Finance, developers of the XRP Ledger are pushing back against a recent ranking by research firm Kaiko. The ranking, which evaluated more than a dozen blockchain networks, placed XRP Ledger last in terms of security. This result has reignited longstanding debates over the cryptocurrency platform’s level of decentralization and overall credibility. In Kaiko’s “Blockchain Ecosystem Rankings” released on August 13, XRP Ledger received a security score of 41 out of 100, ranking at the bottom among the 15 blockchains included. Ethereum topped the list with a score of 83, followed closely by the Ethereum Layer 2 network Arbitrum and the Layer 1 network Solana. However, Ayo Akinyele, Head of Engineering at RippleX, stated in an interview that XRP Ledger’s low score is misleading and emphasized the network’s long-standing record of stable security.
