An Early Ethereum Investor Moves 334.7 ETH Worth $1.5 Million for the First Time After Over a Decade of Inactivity
According to Jinse Finance, on-chain data shows that an early Ethereum investor has, for the first time in over a decade, transferred 334.7 ETH, worth nearly $1.5 million. The funds, initially discovered by Lookonchain, were purchased for just $104 during Ethereum’s initial coin offering (ICO) in 2014. Before moving the majority of the funds, the investor conducted a small test transfer to a new wallet with no prior activity. If liquidated at current market prices, this transfer represents a 14,000-fold return. The original wallet had remained inactive since the ICO. Ethereum’s ICO raised a total of $18 million and officially launched in July 2015.
