US National Debt Set to Soar to $37.2 Trillion
According to Jinse Finance, @CryptooIndia reports that the U.S. national debt is set to soar to $37.2 trillion. Previously, it was announced that on August 5 Eastern Time, the U.S. Treasury Department would auction $100 billion worth of four-week Treasury bills on August 7, marking the largest single issuance for this maturity. Currently, the total U.S. federal debt stands at $36.21 trillion, accounting for 123% of GDP, far exceeding the International Monetary Fund's warning threshold. Of this, publicly held debt amounts to $28.91 trillion, with short-term Treasury bills making up 21.29% and medium- to long-term bonds accounting for 51.22%.
