The French right-wing National Rally party plans to push for a bill to support nuclear power mining for Bitcoin.
according to Le Monde, the French right-wing political party "National Rally" (Rassemblement National) plans to propose a bill to use surplus electricity from nuclear power plants for Bitcoin mining.
The party's member, Aurélien Lopez-Liguori, started drafting the related bill in July. The proposal plans to deploy high-performance computers at EDF, the French energy giant's nuclear power plants, to participate in blockchain network operations by executing complex calculations, in order to receive newly minted bitcoins as a reward.
