PANews, July 8—According to Jintou, on July 7 local time, U.S. President Trump signed an executive order extending the so-called "reciprocal tariffs" grace period, postponing the implementation date from July 9 to August 1.
Earlier today, starting from midnight on July 8 (UTC+8), Trump successively posted tariff letters to multiple countries on social media. As of press time, he has issued the latest tariff rate threats to 14 countries. Among them, Japan, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, and Tunisia face a 25% tariff rate; South Africa and Bosnia face a 30% rate; Indonesia, 32%; Bangladesh and Serbia, 35%; Thailand and Cambodia, 36%; Laos and Myanmar, 40%. These tariffs will take effect on August 1.
In addition, citing Politico, Jintou reported that the United States has proposed a trade agreement plan to impose a 10% tariff on the European Union, along with restrictive clauses.
