Data: A whale dormant for 14 and a half years awakens, transferring 150 BTC to multiple selling addresses over the past 5 days
According to ChainCatcher, analyst Yu Jin has detected activity from a Bitcoin address that had been dormant for 14 and a half years. This address purchased 3,962.6 bitcoins in January 2011 at a price of $0.375 each. After ending its long dormancy, the address has transferred out 450 bitcoins (worth approximately $53.42 million), with 150 of those bitcoins being sent in batches over the past five days to an exchange and to addresses associated with market makers B2C2 and Wintermute. The address still holds 3,678 bitcoins, valued at around $434 million.
