After CPI Release, Traders Remain Firm on Fed Rate Cut in September
BlockBeats News, July 15 — Following the release of the U.S. CPI report, traders continue to bet that the Federal Reserve may begin cutting interest rates in September. Previously, a report released by the U.S. government showed that the June CPI rose as expected.
After the CPI was released, market pricing indicates that the probability of a Fed rate cut in September remains around 60%. Traders still believe there is only a 5% chance of a rate cut this month, as most Fed policymakers have stated they want to see more data before lowering rates. (Jin10)
