Citi: Total Stablecoin Circulation Could Reach $1.6–3.7 Trillion by 2030
Odaily Planet Daily News: Citibank predicts that by 2030, the total circulating supply of stablecoins could grow to between $1.6 trillion and $3.7 trillion under different scenarios. It is expected that the supply of stablecoins will continue to be primarily denominated in US dollars (about 90%), while non-US countries will promote the development of their own CBDCs.
Citi analysts wrote in a recent report: "Although there is long-term potential, the opportunity is still at an early stage, and there is limited visibility regarding the timeline and end-user adoption." (LedgeInsights)
