Institutions: Modest Dollar Rebound Fails to Mask Downward Trend
2025/07/07 15:37According to a report by Jinse Finance, despite facing tariff risks and a rising US dollar, the greenback currently remains only slightly above its recent lows. BBH analysts Win Thin and Elias Haddad noted in their report: “Although the dollar is experiencing a modest rebound, we believe its underlying downward trend remains unchanged.” They expect the market to push back more strongly against the Federal Reserve’s hawkish stance, which could further pressure the dollar. At the same time, tariff policies may exacerbate stagflation risks, serving as another factor weighing on the dollar’s performance. “Much like the so-called ‘Liberation Day’ in the past, today’s tariff news could be the trigger for the next leg down in the dollar.”
