Foresight News reports, according to The Block, that Russia has launched a national registry for cryptocurrency mining equipment and is deploying it in regions where mining activities are active. The registry system was jointly developed by the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Federal Tax Service, and the Ministry of Digital Development, with the primary goal of accurately identifying the energy consumption of mining operations. According to RIA Novosti, this lays the groundwork for implementing taxation and regulatory measures.
