Bitcoin Mined an Empty Block at Height 904263 65 Minutes Ago
BlockBeats News, July 6 — According to mempool data, miners mined an empty block at Bitcoin height 904263 (meaning the block only contained the block reward Coinbase transaction), with just a 29-second interval from the previous block height.
Miners package empty blocks out of economic considerations, making this the most rational choice for them. In order to maximize mining efficiency during this period and avoid conflicts with transactions included in the parent block, miners cannot fill the block with transactions—in other words, they can only attempt to mine an empty block.
