MetaEra News, on May 28 (UTC+8), at the Bitcoin Conference 2025 main stage, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated that President Trump has officially endorsed her proposed BITCOIN Act, which aims to authorize the U.S. government to purchase up to one million bitcoins over five years to establish a national strategic reserve. Lummis noted that the White House currently has a dedicated digital asset team covering topics such as bitcoin reserves, stablecoins, and market structure regulation. She mentioned that 30 states have already discussed local strategic reserve proposals, with states like Texas and New Hampshire having passed relevant legislation. Fellow Senator Marsha Blackburn emphasized that the U.S. should take the lead globally, while Jim Justice pointed out that the widespread adoption of daily payments will accelerate legislative progress.
