Chairman of the U.S. Digital Assets Subcommittee Cancels Meeting with Ripple CEO and Will Not Reschedule
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse posted on the X platform stating that he is heading to Washington D.C. to advocate for reasonable cryptocurrency-supportive legislation regarding stablecoins and market structure. He urged U.S. government officials to view cryptocurrencies in the manner they deserve. However, Cynthia Lummis, Chair of the U.S. Digital Assets Subcommittee and Senator, canceled their meeting and will not reschedule. Brad Garlinghouse called on Cynthia Lummis to reconsider the meeting to jointly discuss how to make the U.S. the world's cryptocurrency capital.
