According to Decrypt, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California has charged the leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel with drug terrorism and trafficking, partly based on blockchain analysis companies Chainalysis and TRM Labs identifying millions of dollars in cryptocurrency linked to fentanyl precursor procurement and money laundering networks.
