U.S. Agriculture Impacted by U.S. Tariff Policy
Recently, American media reported that the U.S. agricultural economy is suffering from the impact of the Trump administration's tariff policies, particularly in the agricultural trade and processing industries. The Los Angeles Times specifically pointed out that China has significantly reduced imports of U.S. beef and soybeans, turning instead to countries in South America and Europe. Additionally, several American tractor manufacturers have reported a decline in first-quarter sales due to geopolitical uncertainties and trade frictions affecting American farmers' confidence. The tariff policies have also noticeably suppressed the import of U.S. pesticides and fertilizers. Fertilizer companies have stated that the tariffs have increased costs, forcing them to raise product prices, with the final costs being borne by American consumers. (CCTV International News)
