Solana and Other Institutions Submit "Project Open" Proposal to SEC, Advocating for Issuance and Trading of Securities on Public Blockchains
Odaily Planet Daily News Solana Policy Institute, Superstate Inc., and Orca Creative recently jointly submitted a proposal named "Project Open" to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), advocating for the issuance and trading of securities based on public blockchains to enhance market efficiency and support existing regulatory objectives. The proposal includes: digital equity registered as Token Shares, wallet addresses certified through KYC and training, on-chain recorded shareholder registers, non-custodial or compliant custodial wallet structures, instant settlement mechanisms, and a peer-to-peer trading model based on smart contracts.
