SoFi CEO: The regulatory environment has undergone a fundamental change and will restart the cryptocurrency business
according to CNBC, Anthony Noto, CEO of financial services company SoFi, recently announced that the financial technology bank will reintroduce cryptocurrency investment services against the backdrop of a "fundamental shift" in the Trump administration's regulatory environment. SoFi was forced to terminate its cryptocurrency business at the end of 2023 due to the requirement for a banking license, but after the acting head of the currency supervisory agency issued new guidance this year, the company decided to return to the cryptocurrency field. Noto stated that SoFi plans to resume cryptocurrency investment services by the end of the year and integrate blockchain technology into all major product lines within the next 6 to 24 months, including areas such as loans, savings, consumption, investment, and protection, without ruling out accelerating this process through acquisitions.
