According to Cointelegraph, Custodia Bank and Vantage Bank have issued the first US bank-supported stablecoin Avit based on a permissionless blockchain, running on Ethereum. The issuance of this stablecoin marks an important step in compliant, dollar-based blockchain technology payments.
