Tesla: U.S. tariff policy will harm American companies
According to reports from American media on the 14th, Tesla, an American electric vehicle manufacturer, recently wrote a letter to the Office of the United States Trade Representative warning that high tariff policies by the US government will harm American companies. In its letter, Tesla stated that excessive tariffs would increase the cost of necessary imported goods in America. The trade dispute could also face retaliatory measures leading to increased tariffs on exported electric vehicles from America and inevitably disproportionately affecting American exporters. Tesla believes that even with active promotion of localizing supply chains, "purchasing certain components within the United States remains difficult or impossible."
