Deutsche Bank: The Bank of England may cut interest rates to 3.5% before the end of the year
The research department of Deutsche Bank predicts that the Bank of England will cut interest rates four more times by 2025, bringing the rate down to 3.50%. However, the bank's economist Sanjay Raja stated in a report that the Bank of England should maintain an interest rate of 4.50% at its next decision on March 20th. Raja said: "In our view, a 'gradual and cautious' approach is not conducive to continuous rate cuts - especially when overall CPI is rising." LSEG data shows that there is a 92% chance that the market expects the Bank of England to keep interest rates unchanged in March, with two more cuts expected by 2025.
