US commerce secretary: stick to April 2 tariff plan, some reciprocal tariffs to take effect in months
On 5 March, US Commerce Secretary Lutnick said that we stand by our tariff plan of 2 April. With regard to the implementation of reciprocal tariffs on 2 April, some reciprocal tariffs will come into effect immediately and some will come into effect a few months later.
