Tron Memecoins Are Making a Comeback
Tron’s Justin Sun revealed a few minutes ago via X that memecoins on Tron are making a strong comeback.
According to data from Artemis Terminal February 19 was the day with the most significant number of daily active addresses. Yesterday, the daily active addresses on Tron reached 2.6 million.
On December 4, 2024, the daily active addresses topped 2.7 million, according to the same data.

The latest increasing activity on Tron is mostly due to memecoins on the network, like Sun revealed in his post.
Today, the memecoin sector on Tron recorded a significant surge.
Tron Memecoin Sector Surges by Over 23%
The Tron memecoin sector surged by over 23% today, reaching a market cap above $186 million. Also, the 24-hour trading volume of memecoins on Tron surpassed $70.3 million
Top gainers among the Tron memecoins are Sundog with a surge of over 75% today, followed by Tron Bull Coin with a 27% surge. Suncat also recorded a surge of almost 24% today, according to CoinGecko data.

The overall memecoin sector was recently hit hard following the LIBRA scandal which also dragged the Solana ecosystem down. LIBRA was a coin launched last week that lost over $4.4 billion in the market cap rapidly after launch.
Today, the memecoin sector is up by 1.8%, having a 24-hour trading volume of over $6.1 billion, CoinGecko shows.
