Lawyer confirms US has dropped all charges against former BTC-e operator Alexander Vinnik
Arkady Bukh, the lawyer of former BTC-e operator Alexander Vinnik, confirmed that the United States has dropped the case against Vinnik after his release last week, and the Northern District of California Court has confirmed that all charges against Vinnik will be dropped.
Bukh said: "The judge approved our request, and the case has been dismissed. We managed to reach an agreement with the prosecutor's office. At the hearing, the prosecutor's office agreed to drop the charges. Our client now has a clean record in the United States." The lawyer also stated that the ruling is "a unique and rare situation," and added: "We believe this is a great victory."
