Former CFTC Chairman Behnam has resigned, and Trump has not yet nominated a successor
According to a report by Cointelegraph on February 8, Rostin Behnam, former chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), officially resigned on February 7, and President Trump has not yet nominated a successor. Behnam announced on January 7 that he would step down as chairman on Trump's inauguration day, and Caroline Pham was subsequently elected as acting chairman. Currently, the committee, consisting of five commissioners, is divided between the Republican and Democratic parties. Although there have been reports that Trump may nominate former CFTC commissioner Brian Quintenz, the White House has not issued any official statement.
