According to the CME ‘Fed Watch’, the probability that the Fed will keep the current rate unchanged by December is 4.6%, the probability of a cumulative 25 basis points of interest rate cut is 95.4%. The probability of keeping current rates unchanged by January next year is 3.8 per cent, the probability of a cumulative 25 basis point cut is 79.9 per cent, and the probability of a cumulative 50 basis point cut is 16.3 per cent.
