Vitalik: The Ethereum Foundation sells ETH to pay rewards to ecosystem developers
Vitalik Buterin clarified on X about the Ethereum Foundation selling ETH: "The foundation is paying remuneration to researchers and developers responsible for the following matters:
Ethereum will not consume 5 million ETH annually for proof of work;
User fees are now very low;
Transactions can be completed within 30 seconds, not 1-30 minutes (EIP 1559)."
