US and Nigeria establish bilateral liaison group to pool resources to combat crypto-related crime
After dropping charges against Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan in Nigeria and releasing him on Wednesday, the US State Department announced that it has partnered with Nigeria to establish a Bilateral Liaison Group on Illicit Finance and Cryptocurrencies to jointly combat cybercrime and financial misconduct related to cryptocurrencies. The announcement stated, "The US works with global partners to promote cyberspace and digital technology while combating and responding to malicious cyber activity, cybercrime, and other digital harm."
