Fed's Schmid: Personally, I'm inclined to avoid big rate cuts
Fed's Schmid said interest rates could be significantly higher than before the new crown epidemic; called for a cautious, gradual and prudent rate-cutting strategy; personally preferred to avoid large rate cuts; ‘reasonably confident’ that inflation will fall to 2%; and saw that the labour market is normalising, not deteriorating.
