Base Research Team Releases Proof of Concept for Cross-L2 Calling Standard RIP-7755
On October 17, Base co-founder Jesse Pollak disclosed that the Base research team has launched a proof-of-concept (POC) for the cross-L2 call standard RIP-7755. The standard is designed to enable seamless cross-chain interoperability between different Ethernet Layer2 networks, particularly mainstream Layer 2 networks such as Optimism and Arbitrum.
According to Jack Chuma, a member of the Base research team, the RIP-7755 proof-of-concept applies to EIP-4788-compliant blockchains, and is currently capable of verifying the state of the OP Stack chain and Arbitrum.
