SpaceX first successful starship recovery
SpaceX successfully utilized a “chopstick” arm on its launch tower to hold a first-stage super-heavy rocket during its fifth Starship test flight, accomplishing an important goal of the mission, according to Golden 10. More than two minutes after the starship's liftoff, the first stage super-heavy rocket separated from the starship and began its return. More than six minutes after the launch of the starship, the first stage was successfully caught by the “chopstick” arm on the launch tower. This is SpaceX's first attempt to recover a starship's first stage. Next, the second stage of the Starship will continue its flight in preparation for a controlled splashdown in the Indian Ocean.
