Avalanche Foundation Launches $40 Million Grant Program Called Retro9000
On September 26, CoinDesk reported that the Avalanche Foundation announced a $40 million grant program called Retro9000, which is designed to incentivize developers to build new protocols ahead of the upcoming Avalanche 9000 upgrade. The program extends the testnet cycle and attracts developers by “incentivizing testnets. Users can earn voting points through the Retro9000 platform, which can be used to vote for quality projects. Ultimately, eligible developers will be required to deploy their projects to the main network in order to be eligible for funding.Avalanche9000 is expected to simplify Layer 1 deployments, and the test network will launch in October.
