Mysten Labs Co-Founder: Sui is Testing Offline Crypto Transactions Delivered via Radio Waves
Adeniyi Abiodun, one of the co-founders of Mysten Labs, said in an interview with Cointelegraph that it has completed research into the use of radio waves to provide offline crypto transactions, enabling the Sui blockchain to transmit transactions using only underwater waves, long-distance radios, and even compressing transactions into smaller text messages.
Sui has tested this approach and it “has worked,” Abiodun said, and is now tasked with integrating it into IoT devices, which could also benefit the Decentralized Physical Infrastructure (DePIN) project. Sui is working with Canadian mobile service provider Chip Wireless to test its idea and is considering expanding into target markets such as Africa.
