Kakao and LINE team up to launch L1 mainnet Kaia
Layer 1 blockchain Kaia officially launched its main network last Thursday. The initiative is a collaboration between Korean and Japanese Web2 messaging giants Kakao and LINE, and is a merger of their previously launched Layer 1 blockchains Klaytn and Finschia. Taking a cue from Telegram's TON blockchain strategy, Kaia builders will utilize a set of available SDKs and APIs to create native dApps that can be directly integrated into LINE's messaging program.
