Telegram CEO Pavel Durov's arrest causes Toncoin to plummet
Toncoin experienced a significant decline in value following reports that Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was arrested in France. The arrest is related to allegations that Durov was involved in criminal activities facilitated by Telegram's lack of moderation. Toncoin (TON) has dropped by more than 14.5% in response to the news, which indicates that Durov was detained at Le Bourget Airport on the basis of a warrant issued by OFIM, a branch of the French National Police that focuses on preventing violence against minors.
