Reuters Survey: Over 50% of Economists Predict the Federal Reserve Will Cut the Federal Funds Rate by 75 Basis Points This Year
According to a Reuters survey, out of 101 economists, 55 predict that the Federal Reserve will cut the federal funds rate by 75 basis points this year (50 basis points were predicted in July). The surveyed economists forecast an average economic growth rate of 2.5% and 1.8% for the United States in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
