Senator Schumer Pledges to Pass Crypto Legislation by Year's End
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Senator Chuck Schumer, a Democrat from New York, spoke at the Crypto4Harris conference on Wednesday, promising to pass crypto legislation by the end of the year. During a livestream of that conference, Schumer said that without action, “cryptocurrencies are at risk of flowing offshore into countries that don't have any regulation of the lowest standards.” The theme of the event was to “reboot” the conversation with Vice President Kamala Harris and the future Harris administration - and to emphasize that the crypto space belongs to no one.
