Data: Ethereum L2 daily transaction count hits a historical high, reaching 12.42 million transactions
The total number of transactions processed in the Ethereum L2 ecosystem on August 12 hit a historic high, reaching 12.42 million. This growth is mainly due to the memecoin craze on the Coinbase L2 blockchain, where transaction volume soared to over 4 million at the end of July.
The amount of stablecoins currently held by the L2 network exceeds that of Solana and BSC combined. The report points out that there are 150% more stablecoins on L2 than Solana and 94% more than BSC. Meanwhile, according to Etherscan data, daily transaction volumes on the Ethereum mainnet have remained relatively steady for most of this year, hovering around 1.1 million.
